The Vector Biology Methods group at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine develops, evaluates and shares the laboratory methods used to test insecticides and monitor resistance in mosquito vectors.

Our current work focuses on volatile insecticides. We are developing benchtop methods for monitoring transfluthrin susceptibility and optimising Peet-Grady chamber methods for evaluating volatile chemistries, measuring both toxicological and behavioural effects.
