Fabricio’s research focuses on insecticide resistance and its implications for public health, particularly how exposure to aerosolised and volatile household insecticides drives resistance in Aedes aegypti. Within the group, he leads development of free-flight Peet-Grady methods for evaluating volatile products. He completed his PhD in Tropical Medicine at LSTM in 2015 and was previously a Senior Lecturer in genetics and molecular biology at Paraíba State University, Brazil. He joined LSTM in 2018 on a Wellcome Trust International Training Fellowship.
